We are a San Francisco bay-area based visual arts company.
We are committed to creating theater and films that transcend genre, age and linguistic barriers. We believe our productions should be true to their roots, meaningful to the audience as well as appealing to everyone.
We are committed to quality over quantity. We will stage a few, yet “honest” plays every year. We know “quality” is subjective, but we trust our audience to understand the difference between an average production from a better than average one.
We are committed to innovation and departing from the mundane. Every Stagecraft production must bring a new experience to our audience.
We believe that form and content both are equally important.
We believe art and economics can and must coexist. We do not believe that “art for art’s sake” is sustainable and scalable, nor do we think that econmonics must necessarily triumph over artistic excellence.
