The time was 1435 AD. An eastern Indian empire grew from the ashes of a dying kingdom.  Over the next 35 years, it would capture almost the entire eastern India.

This is the story of the warrior king Kapilendra, one of the most revered and brave rulers of his time, a devdasi who mesmerizes the audience with her ethereal dance, and his beautiful queen who loves him deeply despite all odds. It is the story of their search for true love, the emotional turmoil between duty and commitment and the sacrifices each has to make. This is the story of all of us, our search for truth and happiness.

Based on true historical events and real characters, the team of Stagecraft Productions will bring you this original Bengali musical with music composed by Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, dance choreographed by legendary Guru Sutapa Talukdar, and scripted and directed by Bibek Das.
